Single People Don’t Have to be Lonely!

Saturday, July 19th, 2014

There’s an interesting confusion on Facebook this morning that gives people the choice of either being ‘with someone’, or of being lonely.

Once you define what ‘aloneness’ is, you realise the quality ‘lonely’ has nothing to do with whether people are with you, or not.

“You can’t be lonely if you like the person you’re alone with.” – Wayne Dyer

Breathing and Receiving are the Same Thing

Tuesday, July 15th, 2014

“Breathing and receiving are the same thing.” – James Blacker

Please share to help the world receive more, and so feel the need to try to control less… If we can do that, the world will be transformed.

“Breathing and receiving are the same thing.” – James Blacker

Controlling – or rather, trying to control – is the opposite of receiving, or actually the unconscious refusal to receive that which is ours by nature to receive.

When we breathe, we activate our brain to respond from presence, and to what’s happening in the moment – from our choice and truth, rather than from past conditioning and self-limitation.

Breathing – in-spiro – inspires us to be in our truth.

And so by breathing fully, we allow ourselves to become ready to receive that which is already ours in truth, but which until now we had not allowed ourselves to receive.

Wisdom and Self-Identity

Saturday, July 5th, 2014

“When it rains the sky doesn’t identify with the rain.” – James Blacker

When it rains, the sky doesn’t identify with the rain.  Yet human beings, when they are experiencing emotions, often identify with them.

Apart from this being contrary to our awareness of our real nature – as the observer, or experiencer, of these things – this approach also blocks the easy passing and understanding of emotions.

Notice also that while we tend to identify with negative emotions – “I am sad” rather than “I am feeling sad” – even if we identify with positive emotions, we also enjoy them!  At the level of wisdom, negative emotions are there to be felt into.

There is nothing really to fear from our emotions, yet in fearing them we deny ourselves the opportunity to be the person we intuitively know we wish to be as our real selves.

Master of Success or Slave to Success

Saturday, March 1st, 2014

“Winning is be fine but if you can’t transcend success you’ll always be its prisoner.” – James Blacker

So winning is be fine but if you can’t transcend success you’ll always be its prisoner.  Let success be something to open to, dreams and desires the joy and inspiration and drive that flows through you, but never the controller of you, or condition of your beingness.

Through the Online Wisdom Course you’ll learn to see yourself in a way that you can see the difference between yourself, your true nature, and your interactions with success.

The Importance of Mind Control for Your Health

Friday, February 7th, 2014

My friend told me once that the spiritual teacher, Andrew Cohen, had a saying that if you can’t meditate for an hour then you can’t control your own mind.

I pointed out to my friend that if you can’t control your own mind then you can’t control your body.

But what else does that mean?  If you can’t control your mind then you can’t control your own health.

…Significant times for understanding the importance of consciousness and self-mastery!

Judge Yourself Less and Achieve Success

Wednesday, February 5th, 2014

The more you judge yourself, the harder you’ll find it to create the life of your dreams.

Judge yourself less, replace it with self-love and gratitude for your wonderful nature, and watch as things that are waiting for you home into view…

Wisdom Quotes for Weight Management

Monday, January 13th, 2014

Here’s a trio of quotes of mine as part of my new Twitter Account, @TheWisdomDiet, for my Weight Management programme, The Wisdom Diet.

“(Increased) Awareness is the key to dieting, because you can’t control your mind, (awareness does), and your mind determines your actions.”

“Dieting is like winning an American football game… …all you need is a bit of Mo – momentum… …winning starts with beginning….”

“Meditate yourself slim. I’m telling you. That’s the way.”

Best wishes,

The Wisdom of Working with Beliefs for Success

Thursday, September 26th, 2013

Working with beliefs can be very useful to what you want to achieve.

I’ve realised today that I’ve been working with an adopted belief all my life that I am a 7 out of 10 kind of person. I’m meant to score that, that’s the minimum I must reach, but that’s “about right” for me.

I found this out when I started asking why I was only using some, not all of my time to move my goals forward when I was quite happy to use all the time doing it – I was ‘staying consistent’ to my 7/10 personality, my false self. So I can see that belief for the false-truth it is, and release the blocks.

The question has been there a few weeks, and that insight came while down the gym today. Just through awareness.

Nature, Wisdom and Your Body

Sunday, September 15th, 2013

I’ve just heard a fabulous wording of one of the body wisdom insights I live by. This phrase from Peter Ragnar, talking about his choice to exercise a certain way each day; “Not for any reason, but to give nature its way in my body.”.

He follows up: “It’s my dance of the celebration of life!”.

The Possibilities for Physical Potential

Wednesday, September 11th, 2013

In this coming period of time, over the next few weeks and probably already started, it looks like for me it’s going to be about understanding my three bodies more (gross, subtle and causal), continuing understanding the mind-body connection more, and fully exploring my physical potential.

Someone’s just asked me in response to this, what the ‘three bodies’ parallel.

According to Integral Life Practice*, gross body equates to the waking state of consciousness, subtle to the dreaming, and causal to the deep, dreamless state of consciousness, however, they’re all always present – you don’t have to be asleep to have a causal/subtle body.

From my explorations, though, there’s more than just this particular sublime mystery going on with the body; it’s linked to everything else, too – the body is affected by work, as my flow of consciousness changes as I respond to that, and interact with work and its emotions, blocks, or creative dynamic consciousness, etc., and everything else. As Deepak Chopra points out in ‘Magical Mind, Magical Body’, “you can’t have a thought without your body knowing about it”.

* For those who don’t know, I am specifically an Integral Philosopher; an Integral Wisdom Coach – Integral meaning ‘all-inclusive’ philosophies; we consider and include all truths in our approaches to life’s questions for the greatest chances of success.
